Our Microdermabrasion Course has been designed to provide learners with the theoretical knowledge, practical competence and professional confidence required to safely perform microdermabrasion treatments within a salon or clinical environment.

This comprehensive programme combines evidence-based theory with practical hands-on training, enabling learners to understand the science behind mechanical exfoliation whilst delivering safe, effective and results-driven skin rejuvenation treatments. Students will learn how to improve skin texture, stimulate cell renewal and promote a healthier, brighter complexion using professional microdermabrasion equipment.

Throughout the course, learners will develop an in-depth understanding of skin anatomy and physiology, the skin renewal cycle, skin types and conditions, consultation techniques and treatment planning. Students will learn how to assess each client’s skin, identify suitable treatment protocols and tailor treatments to individual skin concerns whilst working safely within their professional scope of practice.

Practical training covers every stage of the treatment process, including client preparation, skin cleansing, machine settings, crystal or diamond-tip technology (depending on the device used), treatment techniques, pressure control, treatment sequencing and post-treatment care. Emphasis is placed on achieving safe, consistent results whilst maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and client safety.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for beginners in beauty therapy, qualified beauty therapists wishing to expand their facial treatment portfolio, or aesthetics practitioners looking to add a highly sought-after skin rejuvenation treatment to their services. No previous microdermabrasion experience is required, although a basic knowledge of facials and skin care is beneficial.
